Today we met Mustafa from Turkey. Our guest will spend in Petrozavodsk a month and he decided to take One-on-One Russian course at our School.
Last Friday Pauliina, Sarah and Edward finished their courses of the Russian language in Petrozavodsk. Talking about the progress in Russian we cannot help saying that it is significant and our student have greatly improved their communicative skills. You can read their feedback here. Autumn Russian Courses“The Russian language course was well structured and I enjoyed the combination of Russian language studies with cultural and historical texts, as this kept the course clear. I really felt challenged through the few weeks, but never lost out of my depth. The Russian teachers were dynamic and passionate about their subjects and this really entrusted the students to achieve. I found it especially useful that all handouts were in the Russian language, so I found myself forming links in Russian between different words and ideas rather than simply relying on direct dictionary translations. My host family was friendly and relaxed. The Russian student-volunteers were willing to help. So I made good friends in Petrozavodsk whom I could ask for help or advice. The volunteers were truly the heart and soul of the program. The entire course was well-organized and fluid.”
Katherine Spann, UK Autumn is unbelievably beautiful in the Russian North! Especially its beginning! Very often you don’t even notice that summer is over! So the summer activities are going on! Of course the water is already not warm enough, the leaves are turning red, yellow, and orange… This is the famous Russian Golden Autumn and it’s worth seeing! Besides, in September the academic year begins and it is perfect to start/ continue studying Russian!
 This program is intended for anyone who is looking for an intensive Russian language training in a small group (2-3 students). Classes take place from Monday to Friday and there are 20 classes of 45 minutes each per week.
Course “Easy Russian”, elementary level
This course is designed for people who have learned a minimum of 100 language hours or studied many years ago. Emphasis is laid on conversation on everyday themes, pronunciation, basic grammar, and understanding of simple texts (oral and written). The instructions are given in Russian with minimum English.
Course "Let's speak Russian", basic level This intensive Russian language course is intended for people who have studied Russian for 300 hours and want to activate and improve Russian language skills.
Emphasis is laid on conversation on everyday themes, pronunciation, basic grammar, and understanding of simple texts (oral and written). The instructions are given in Russian with minimum English. Curriculum is here
Course "Easy about difficult things", first certificate level This intensive Russian language course is intended for people who have studied Russian for 900 hours and want to activate and improve their Russian language skills. The emphasis is laid on improvement of listening and speaking skills ,and essential grammar. Instruction is given in Russian. Curriculum is here
Course "About Russia and Russians in Russian", second certificate level This intensive Russian language course is intended for people with good Russian language proficiency, who have studied Russian for 1200 hours. Emphasis is laid on reading and speaking skill improvement, understanding of radio and TV programs, films, conversation on different social and cultural themes, reading of modern and classical Russian literature, and enlarging special vocabulary. This course is ideal for Slavic students - even for those who have studied Russian for awhile. Dates in 2012:

The fees:
The total cost of the 2–week program is 360 euros incl. tuition + homestay (incl. breakfast)
Apply Program for students lasts 12 weeks. The program includes 240-hour Russian course and 108-hour Internship.
Russian course - the size of the group is 4 – 10 people. The classes take place from Monday to Friday and there are 20 classes per week (10 am – 1.30 pm).
Internship – starts from the 3rd week of the program and lasts 10 weeks. Internship takes place 3 days a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday), 3 hours a day (3 pm – 6 pm). Internship is unpaid; you can work at museums, libraries, kid clubs, travel agencies, language courses, etc.
NOTE! Only organized groups are invited (4 and more students of the same level of Russian)

This course is for highly motivated people seeking for individual tuition to make fast progress in the Russian language. The course is entirely tailor-made to fit your needs. Lessons are taught by qualified Russian language teachers.
The standard course is 20 hours/ week. We recommend taking at minimum a 2-week course, maximum as you wish. You are welcome to put the dates of classes which most convenient for you in autumn.
All levels are offered: from beginners to the third certificate level.

This individual 2-week intensive Russian language course is specially designed for the businessmen whose professional interests are connected with Russia. Qualified and professional teachers will help you succeed in learning Business Russian in a short time. Basic or first certificate level of Russian is required.
The standard Business Russian course includes 60 hours per 2 weeks. The duration of the course could be longer if it is necessary. You are welcome to put the dates of classes which are most convenient for you all year round.

This 2-month unique Russian language course is perfect for people who want to take the Russian language course and participate in a volunteer project. Staying with a Russian host family will absolutely improve your Russian language and participating in cultural activities will give you a real idea about Russia, its history, people, and traditions.
The Russian language course lasts for one month; classes take place from Monday to Friday.
The volunteer project lasts for one more month; work takes place from Monday to Friday (5 hours a day). Participating in the volunteer project is the perfect way to master your Russian for free. You can choose which field to volunteer in:
1) Creating cultural projects - preparing and organizing cultural activities aimed at acquainting Russian youth with foreign countries;
2) Working with children - acquainting children with foreign countries - cooking, sports, music, and computer classes;
3) Assisting in a library - scanning rare books and translation work.

- Russian internship from 2 weeks (internship is unpaid; positions are available at museums, libraries, kid clubs, travel agencies, language courses, etc.);
- Russian homestay.
