Summer time seems to have flown by! So, this season at Russian Language School Enjoy Russian is over, and the foreign students came back to their home countries. We want to thank so many people:
- these brave people who came to Petrozavodsk to study our difficult but beautiful language;
- their teachers who work hard at the Universities all over the word teaching Russian as foreign;
- our talented and patient teachers who made the study program for our guests so pleasant, interesting and enjoyable;
- Russian hostfamilies who did their best to make the students feel like home, spending evenings with their guests drinking tea and speaking Russian all the time;
- Russian students-volunteers whose contribution is just inestimable. They spent hours accompanying foreign students whenever they need, helping them in different situations and just charting to them in youth Russian.
All these people helped us during this active period of time Summer 2009.
We really hope that all our guests had a wonderful time in Karelia, and every person is pleased and maybe would come back to Russia once more any time!
The summer season is over but Russian language school Enjoy Russian continues its mission – teach Russian in the best way!
At the moment Daniela from Switzerland is subjugating great and mighty Russian language. She has already been staying in Petrozavodsk for 2 weeks and will be in Russia for about 2 months.
  And we have one more girl from Germany – Evelyn. Evelyn came to Petrozavodsk to teach German and English at one of our local schools and in her spare time she decided to enjoy Russian with us!
In the nearest future we will make the results of the Summer season 2009, and will analyze the work of the teachers, the families and the volunteers in the evaluative forms. Without any doubt, we will take into account all wishes and complains, and will try to improve the aspects of teaching in our school Enjoy Russian next year. And of course we will choose the best teachers, volunteers and hostfamilies and encourage them!!!
A great trip to the countryside Sholtozero took place on Tuesday, the group of 5 foreign students participated in it. It is a Veps village, moreover it’s the only museum in Russia, telling about culture and history of Veps people.
 So it was very unusual to communicate with people with such an old and interesting history. Especially it was very important to Christian, because he is interested in Veps and Karelian culture and peoples.
 The guys went to the excursion around Sholtozero countryside. After excursion they drank tea with Karelian national Karelian pies. As the students noted it was a real delicacy! As always Karelia nature around this village amazed guys, so everyone felt pretty good!
 A farewell meeting in the café was organized yesterday. The students had a wonderful time with the Russian volunteers. Many of them became real good friends! So, it was a pity that the guys should say good bye to each other, hope they will meet in the future soon or. The boys and girls shared theirs impressions of the program at Russian language school “Enjoy Russian” with each other, and it seems that everybody is pleased with the program!
The last Russian language classes were held today… The guys will return home, you can imagine how they miss their families and friends. During the evaluation seminar guys got their well-earned certificates and were extremely happy! So we wish that they like Russia and Petrozavodsk as well. The doors of Russian language school Enjoy Russian are always open for everybody who wants to know more about Russia and Russian !!!
On Friday a wonderful concert of National Cultures took place.
 The audience could see different performances from Finland, Georgia, Iran and India. Childish Georgian dance band, dance group of Jewry, folk group of Arabian culture, dance group of Indian culture, song and dance band from Georgia, group of Karelian college of culture were the main participants.
 There were also Latino and Flamenco dances, which were shown by fantastic dance academy «Star dance life». All together 820 people took part in this concert. Everybody was delighted and pleased!
 This weekend was very captivating. Two students from Russian language school Barbara and Martina visited St. Petersburg, the cultural capital of Russia. They saw a lot of places of interest, visited museums and galleries. The girls were amazed by the beauty of the city! Eeva traveled to Velikij Novgorod. She enjoyed the atmosphere of the city walking among old houses and churches! Our Polish guest Tomash visited the capital of Russia, Moscow city. He is still there and will come to Petrozavodsk tomorrow to share his impressions. On Sunday Christian and Daniela didn’t leave Karelia, but they went to waterfall Kivach and resort Marzialnie Wodi. Of course, Karelian nature expressed both foreign students.
 Today all students of Russian language school Enjoy Russian have free time after classes. They should relax after so fantastic holidays in Russia. And tomorrow they are going to visit Sholtozero countryside.
Last Tuesday we had a great holiday for everybody, because our Center Initiative organized the Show of cookery in the context of the project Mix of Cultures!!! Our foreign volunteers prepared their national dishes which were very delicious!
 Guys from France baked tradition biscuits, girls from Germany presented us how to cook very tasty pasta with vegetables =), Korean national food was just wonderful and Polish cake with poppy-seeds was unofficial called the most tasty dish (but it's a secret)…
  After Show of cookery our students continued this kind day presenting their national dishes to each other!!! So on that day all the people were full and satisfied! Now we know lots of great recipes and can cook from all over the world at home!
 Wednesday and Thursday were the days of countries. Foreign volunteers together with students from Russian language school Enjoy Russian presented their countries and taught the youth from Petrozavodsk to speak their languages a little bit!!!
 Now we are able to introduce ourselves in German, Netherlands, Polish, France and Korean =)
 The visitors of these days had a unique opportunity to play some foreign games, listen and also sing traditional songs of other countries and just to learn lots of interesting facts about different countries which you can’t find in the Internet!
 Today it’s Friday and it is the last day of our big project Mix of Cultures and the last thing will be the Concert of the National Cultures. About this Concert we will inform you on Monday…
09/14/09 On Saturday the group of foreign students with Russians went to campaign to feel the beauty of russian nature. There were 7 volunteers from different countries and some Russian volunteers.
 They all met for realization the project Mix of cultures. The students and volunteers went to Chertov Stul (The Devil’s Chair), vizited The Sretinskaja Church, than had a look at Russian vegetable gardens and also tried to find a cow!
 The guys tasted fried sausages, and liked it very much. The weather was sunny, so everybody felt cute and relaxed!
 Today Daniela from Switzerland came to Russian language school Enjoy Russian. She will stay in our country for 11 weeks. For the first 5 weeks Daniela will study Russian at our School, and the next 6 weeks she will be working as a volunteer with children. We hope that she will really enjoy her staying in Russia!!!

On Tuesday, the 8th,our Russian Language School proposed a group of foreign students an amazing excursion to the museum of Fine Arts. It was really very interesting to see all that great works of art. The atmosphere was also very friendly, all the students felt cool and comfortable.
A fantastic event happened on Wednesday – Center Initiative organized a Photo Quest. It was an opening of the international project Mix of Cultures.
 International volunteers which came from France, Poland, Korea, Austria and Germany and students from Enjoy Russian language school found it very captivating and really enjoy making photos on different topics! They was involved in running from one place to another and make unusuall or just cute photos!
 They had a lot of fun, because nowadays it is very popular hobby to make photos, especially for young people. This event leaved an unforgettable impression on more that 75 participants’ teams!
 The 10th of September was the day of the National Games. Russian Language School welcomed our gusts and international volunteers. The variety of games impressed almost everybody. Moreover, during this event guys knew each other much better, some even became good friends! No one was bored, and finally they didn’t want to stop and ask for more games!
 Today three of our foreign students Luc, Lise and Tilde finished their study at Russian Language School Enjoy Russian. It had been a wonderful time in Russia, we hope. The guys enjoyed studying in Russian Language School, staying with their host families and participating in variety of activities. All of us hope that they definitely return to Russia once more!

Last Friday was the Flash Mob Day. Tomasz from Poland took part in this funny and colorful action – tens of Russian young people met opposite the State University just in the centre of the city to inform everybody that soon the great project Mix of Cultures starts!
 This positive group greeted the citizen of Petrozavodsk taking nice pictures and dancing Macarena ;)
 At the weekend the Indian Summer seems to be over and we are having some raining days. But it is fine because it means that there will be lots of mushrooms in Karelian forests! Rainy weekend couldn’t prevent the students form Russian language school Enjoy Russian to visit Valaam monastery and Kizhi Island.
 Despite heavy weather all the students enjoyed excursion around the Kizhi Island and the beauty of Karelian nature! It is for sure that the guys will remember this brilliant Open Air Museum for the long time.
 Today the guys are watching a modern Russian movie Oligarch. Of course it was in Russian ;) It is a story about modern Russia, about love, relationships, business and money….
09/03/09 Summer came back to Petrozavodsk and that’s great!!! It is so cold Babje Leto (Indian summer). So the sun is shining and our guests are enjoying warm lovely days with the whole team of Russian language school Enjoy Russian…
 The guys have had and excursion around Petrozavodsk with Russian students-volunteers and saw how beautiful our city is: green streets, historical monuments and the pride of our city the embankment of Onega Lake.
 And yesterday our cheerful volunteers prepared the presentation about Republic Karelia and Petrozavodsk. The students of Russian language school Enjoy Russian learned not only interesting facts about our big and rich country but also they got to know how to dance a traditional Karelian dance Polka…

This Monday we met a new group of students from Belgium, Poland, Estonia and Austria at our Russian language school Enjoy Russian.
 The guys are looking forward to immersing into the Russian culture and getting acquainted with the Russian people. They met their host families and teachers in the morning and in the evening the volunteers prepared the Welcome Party, where we spent a nice time talking and playing games.
  In September Center Initiative is organizing it’s traditional great Project Mix of Cultures. Of course our guests are welcome to take part in it. In the context of this project each person can be a participant of Flash Mob, Photo Quest, The Day of the National Games and Days of the Countries. It will be unforgettable adventure for all of us!
