On Monday, April, 6, new students from Great Britain began studying in our School. Graham studies Russian from the beginning so he took an individual course and we’re sure he will progress in learning Russian soon. Jenny speaks Russian quite well and she wants to improve her knowledge of Russian. Our experienced teacher Veronica is ready to help her. This Wednesday we are going to have a “Welcome” party for the British students with participation of the volunteers. Our “old” student Lukasz will join us too.

Earlier in April a train from St. Petersburg arrived at Petrozavodsk railway station at 7 a.m. Two young girls, Anja and Tanja, came to our city from Germany to take part in social projects. Two days later an Italian guy Maurizio joined the girls. The volunteers are members of “European Voluntary Service” and are  going to spend 5 month in Karelia helping handicapped children, teaching and sharing their voluntary experience with students and schoolchildren in Petrozavodsk, organizing different shows and events.

Anja, Tanja and Maurizio started studying Russian in our School. They’re not beginners, because they have already participated in social projects and programs in Russia. But this time the volunteers communicate with the Russians every day and knowledge of the Russian language is one of the keys to successful results of their social projects in Karelia.
