In February Manuela and Sabine from Austria and Paula from Spain spent 2 weeks in Petrozavodsk. The girls are very satisfied with their time in Petrozavodsk. On the first day the girls enjoyed National Food Party with lots of tasty dishes, singing songs and playing games with Russian volunteers and the coordinator of the program Dasha. Then there was an excursion around the city. The girls also were happy to skate and ski with Russian guys although it was pretty cold (-20 degree Celsius). They also visited the museum of Regional and new some interesting facts about the history of our Republic. Going to the cinema and watching a Russian youth comedy was also very enjoyable. But most of all the girls liked their going the real Russian Banya! According to the girls' evaluation forms the girls would really like to come back to our School soon! Today Manuela and Sabine are leaving Petrozavodsk and Paula will stay in Russia for more than 2 months. And our team will do our best to make her feel like at home!

Last week Paula left Petrozavodsk for Moscow to meet her friends in the capital of our country. Next week she will join us again to continue studying Russian in our School.

We got a new student. His name is Herve and he’s from France. Herve has been living in St. Petersburg for a month and the next point of his journey around Russia is our small and hospitable city Petrozavodsk. And that’s not surprising, because a great study and cultural program is waiting for him. The French student is going to study Russian language with our experienced teacher, to have an excursion around Petrozavodsk with the volunteers, to visit the museum of Regional and the Dolls’ Museum. The traditional Russian winter activities such as skating and skiing are also the part of the program.
